Public Notice - 45 Day Comment and Review Period

The Washington Housing Authority is developing and revising its PHA Annual Plan for 2026 in compliance with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements.

A copy of the proposed 2026 Annual Plan can be viewed at the Washington Housing Authority Administrative Office located at 809 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, NC 27889. If you need assistance to view the documents, please contact the office at 252-946-0061.

Persons or organizations desiring to make comments and/or suggestions must do so in writing between the following dates: May 1, 2026 - June 18, 2026. All written comments and/or suggestions must be addressed to:

A public hearing will be tentatively held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Eastern Village Community Building located at 809 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, NC 27889.

These documents shall be presented to the Board of Commissioners on Thursday, June 25, 2026, for consideration of all comments and adoption.
