The Knowledge is Power Workshop was held on Saturday, January 20th.

Kimberly Grimes, FSS Coordinator, and Alecia Rhoe, ROSS Coordinator, held a Knowledge is Power workshop Thursday, March 16, 2023, about first-time homebuying, banking/lending, and credit repair. The speakers were: Rochelle Hobbs, a realtor from Keller Williams Points East; June Lee from United Bank; Kyeatta Ham from Allstate Insurance; and Martin White, a Credit Repair Counselor with Envision LLC.

The Family Self-Sufficiency Board Members (FSS) are about their participant’s business. We are meeting to put our minds and efforts together to make resources and referrals easy for our clients to navigate. Washington Housing Authority held its first basketball tournament on September 25, 2021, at the basketball court on 9th Street.

Washington Housing Authority recognizes Betty Gatlin for receiving Beaufort County Community College’s ‘BCCC’s Best Award’ for this semester’s theme: commitment. She was nominated by her professor who recognized her commitment to her education, keeping her goals to the forefront despite challenges she has faced. Betty has been an active member of the Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency Program and is on track to graduate May 2025!
